Carolyn Weathers will be sharing stories from her many years of queer activism. Weathers was one of the Gay Liberation Front leaders who orchestrated the Biltmore Invasion, disrupting the APA conference's screening of a documentary depicting the use of electroshock as a "cure" for homosexuality; this direct action led to the declassification of homosexuality as a mental illness. She was also one of the first out lesbians to appear on television in 1970 on the Regis Philbin show.
